The strengths and weaknesses of data found in genealogical records, databases, and online websites are based upon the credibility, reliability, and quality of the data contained within the material. This class will explain how to classify and analyze sources, information, and evidence found in genealogical material; examine how those classifications help researchers identify and use the best quality material in their research; as well as review how to form clear and complete source citations to document the material supporting their research. This class will not include the use of Media Lab computers. Cancellations: Due to limited seating in the Media Lab, we kindly request that registrants unable to attend the class contact the instructor with advanced notice so that the instructor may cancel your registration and make your seat available to another attendee.
