Donations for the Junior Lifeguard Program

Your tax-deductible donation will help offset the increased operational costs of providing the 2020 Junior Lifeguard Program. Due to requirements for social distancing and other COVID-19 safety precautions, the 2020 JG Program is anticipated to cost $100,000 more for the City to provide the program for the 1,300 youth participants. The cost increase includes providing additional staffing to maintain a smaller instructor to student ratio; purchasing additional equipment to reduce sharing and for the additional groups; and enhanced cleaning supplies and equipment for sanitation purposes. Your donation will not be used to off-set the program’s participation fee or for any other City-related expenses or services.
